LINTEL TRUST TURNS TO DULUX DECORATOR CENTRES FOR CHARITABLE SUPPORT

Dulux Decorator Centres, the UK’s leading decorating specialist, has recently partnered with established housing and community charity, Lintel Trust, to donate paint products for its housing and community projects across Scotland. The Lintel Trust, based in Glasgow, is the only organisation of its kind in Scotland that focuses on providing solutions and support to the most vulnerable in housing need, as well as a variety of community based projects in predominantly deprived areas. The partnership will see 22 Dulux Decorator Centres donate mistinted paint lines, unsuitable for retail due to their slight colour variations, but perfect for bringing a community project or rundown house back to life. What’s more, the donations will also ensure a safer living environment for disabled homeowners as a key part of the Lintel Trust’s Care and Repair scheme uses paint to help people with visual impairment navigate their living environment better. Pauline Barbour, director at the Lintel Trust, commented: “We are delighted that Dulux Decorator Centres has recognised the vital work the Trust undertakes and actively wants to support its cause. “Supporting charities does not always have to revolve around financial donations but being able to offer something that will truly make a difference, provide comfort and a new lease of life to those less fortunate and their homes.” Jamie Hyde, customer support manager for North East England and Scotland at Dulux Decorator Centres, said: “This is an extremely worthwhile cause. We all know how a lick of paint can completely transform a living environment or community building for the better, so we had no hesitation in donating our mistints to the Lintel Trust. We look forward to a long and positive partnership.” To find out more about Dulux Decorator Centres visit www.duluxdecoratorcentre.co.uk, follow us on Twitter @DuluxDecCentre or on Facebook www.facebook.com/DuluxDecoratorCentres.
