Leisure Connection, one of the UK’s leading providers of outsourced health, leisure and sport facilities, has revealed details of a £500,000 investment in its community leisure facilities at Downham Health & Leisure Centre and Willesden Sports Centre.
The investment has provided both sites with state-of-the-art gym facilities, with LifeFitness chosen as the nominated equipment supplier.
Each refurbishment has 130 stations and has been designed to reflect feedback from gym users and data from the local community.
The gyms have greater floor space, reflecting an increased focus on programming, and have introduced TRX equipment, a full line of new plate-loaded and cable equipment, as well as specialist motion technology selectorized (MTS) equipment.
The company has also introduced three new colour-coded training zones within the gym – with equipment designed to assist different fitness and ability levels. The aim is to allow members to better programme their exercise and increase the usability and accessibility of the facilities.
