Even before the European Commission made it likely that CE marked doorsets will become the default requirement in schools, hospitals and public buildings, Leaderflush Shapland, part of the Laidlaw Interiors Group, was already leading the market.
Leaderflush Shapland, Laidlaw Orbis Timber Doorsets and TDSL joined forces under the Leaderflush Shapland brand to be the first manufacturers to focus on the greater efficiency, functionality and life-cycle costs of a fully integrated product combining door, frame and ironmongery.
The result was the Spectrum Integrated Doorset. Carrying a 10 year guarantee on internal doorsets, subject to normal wear and tear, the Spectrum range is fully tested and certified to requisite standards and all fire-resisting products are manufactured under the stringent, independent Q-Mark standard.
Specifying Spectrum Integrated Doorsets offers more benefits than certified, guaranteed performance, including:
Leaderflush Shapland believes quality lies in attention to detail, which is why Spectrum Integrated Doorsets undergo as much factory preparation as possible in preparation for the glazing and ironmongery, whatever the style and specification. Specifiers can choose from the largest portfolio of products, services and solutions in the industry, in the knowledge that manufacturing quality and commitment to customer care is unrivalled.
The standard range of door and frame constructions will satisfy the vast majority of applications. From simple non-fire rated through to doorsets which require a combination of fire resistance and acoustic performance, the Leaderflush Shapland range will cater for:
External non-fire doorsets must now carry the CE mark and it’s expected that by early 2015 non-fire and fire resisting/smoke control doorsets will also carry the same legal requirement. And beware: a door assembly completed on site, with components from multiple sources is not compliant – even if all the individual pieces are CE marked. The only way to meet legal obligations will be to specify a fully integrated doorset and ironmongery.
