JELD-WEN, one of the UK’s largest manufacturers of timber doors and windows, has appointed Martin Spencer to the new role of Customer Services Director.
With extensive construction sector experience, Martin has been a regional manager with responsibility for customer services at Tarmac, the largest construction company in the UK, for nine and a half years.
Martin, who lives in Worksop, will be responsible for enhancing JELD-WEN’s customer service function across its doors and windows business, which includes identifying ways to enhance the customer experience and building on JELD-WEN’s reputation for high quality, backed by excellent customer service.
His role will involve managing both JELD-WEN’s Sheffield and Melton Mowbray customer service teams, with responsibility for estimating, sales order processing, customer liaison and after sales/remedial requirements.
Adrian Wade, Sales and Marketing Director of JELD-WEN, said: “Getting customer service right first time is good for the customer and good for our business. We are committed to continuous improvement across our business and Martin’s appointment will help to enhance the experience of our customers.”
“I am joining JELD-WEN at an exciting time in terms of product development and legislative compliance for windows and doors,” said Martin Spencer, JELD-WEN Customer Services Director. “My focus will be on ensuring that customers always have access to innovative door and window solutions when and where they need it. I will be evaluating every aspect of the customer experience over the coming months to identify ways we could enhance our procedures.”
JELD-WEN is one of the UK’s largest manufacturers of timber doors, windows and stairs and operates factories at Sheffield, Melton Mowbray and Penrith.
Recent additions to JELD-WEN’s range include its stylish new Advance Line range of oak doors, which are already gaining popularity with specifiers and homeowners.
Timber as a material is gaining popularity as customers recognise how it offers significant aesthetic, performance and sustainability benefits.
The company is committed to good environmental stewardship and its range of timber windows and doors are available with full Chain of Custody Certification, which ensures they originate from well managed forests.
