ISG has successfully completed a £3.5 million scheme for developer Dominion Corporate Trustees Ltd & Dominion Trust Ltd, to construct four new retail units in a standalone building at the client’s existing Yate Shopping Centre in Bristol.
The 21-week programme saw ISG construct a two-storey building located in an area of the shopping centre’s existing car park. The steel-frame building now provides an additional 50,000 sq. ft. of sales floor to Dominion Trust’s assets at Yate Shopping Centre and three of the units have already been let to M&S Simply Food, Sports Direct and Costa Coffee, with the fourth currently under negotiation.
The scheme is the first to be carried out for Dominion Trust by ISG and follows a £16.5 million Tesco project to construct a new store on Dominion Trust land, which was completed in October 2011. ISG has also won the fit out contract for the M&S Simply Food unit in a separate contract, which will include full store fit out and completion of an amenities block.
