The Insulated Render and Cladding Association (INCA) is delighted to present the INCA 2013 Awards which are now open for entries.
Coinciding with the launch of the Green Deal, the awards recognise innovation and excellence in external wall insulation (EWI) which is a key measure under the scheme.
Demand for EWI is increasing as householders look to improve the energy efficiency of their properties with over 8 million set to benefit from solid wall insulation under the Green Deal.
INCA members, who are already successfully undertaking Energy Company Obligation (ECO) projects, are ideally placed to deliver the high quality solutions required to meet the Government’s carbon reduction targets. By showcasing the most successful EWI projects from the last year, the awards demonstrate how EWI is bringing buildings up to modern-day standards of thermal performance and helping to reduce energy consumption and fuel poverty.
There are six award categories spanning the new build and refurbishment, non-residential and domestic sectors. The winners will be selected by an independent judging panel of industry experts who will be looking for outstanding thermal performance, a high level of technical difficulty, excellent workmanship and striking design and aesthetics. INCA has also introduced a new Training Award for 2013 to recognise the commitment of INCA members to investing in a qualified and skilled workforce which will be essential to the successful delivery of the Green Deal and ECO. The criteria and entry form can be downloaded at www.inca-ltd.org.uk and the winners will be revealed at the INCA Awards Dinner on 3 October 2013.
Chairman of the INCA Marketing Committee Andrew Champ said: “Each year, the high standard of projects entered into the INCA Awards act as a ‘shop window’ for the EWI industry showcasing the thermal efficiency and unique finishes that can achieved by INCA members.
"The awards give businesses involved in EWI the opportunity to stand out as industry experts and there has never been a better time to promote the benefits of EWI following the launch of the Green Deal and ECO.”
The INCA 2013 Awards are open to all EWI projects where the system designer and contractor are members of INCA and the closing date for entries is Monday 18 March.
