Hörmann ThermoPro Entrance Doors now Secured by Design

Hörmann has added a Secured by Design option to 9 styles in it’s ThermoPro Entrance Door range.

Already available to meet the stringent European WK2 security classification the ThermoPro range of contemporary and classic styles of entrance doors feature multi-point locking with a combination of conical swing and security lock bolts that pull the door tightly shut. Three further security bolts on the hinge side make it practically impossible to force the door open.

One of the key elements of the Secure by Design option is a new, even more secure, individually coded lock cylinder that has been designed to resist picking, snapping, bumping or drilling.

As well as being secure, these doors are also stylish and thermally efficient, exceeding the latest standards. The 46 mm door leaf is filled with rigid, CFC free, polyurethane foam leading to high levels of both thermal and acoustic insulation. A choice of triple and double glazed elements that maintain the high thermal efficiency levels are also offered along with a choice of glass to help create the desired look.

Also new for 2011 are two new ribbed entrance door designs and a range of matching side elements and transom lights. The new door designs match the classic M-ribbed sectional garage doors, to add to the wide selection of matching or co-ordinating garage and entrance doors. For a new build, co-ordinating these two elements can create a distinctive look, while for renovation projects a dramatic face-lift can be achieved, while adding thermal efficiency and added security.

The side elements and transom lights not only increase the styling and design options but also bring more light into a building. As you would expect from Hörmann there is no compromise on thermal insulation, as these element smatch the low U-values of the entrance doors.
