Hotel completes first phase of £1.5m refurbishment

The Holiday Inn Stratford-upon-Avon hotel has unveiled a complete new look for guests with the completion of phase 1 of a planned £1.5 million intensive refurbishment of its ground floor.

The first phase sees a complete overhaul of the ballroom function suite and Anteroom bar which have set the exacting standards for the remaining work to be completed over the next three months.

Set to re-establish the hotel as a rightful leader in the Midlands, the design and styling is very much in line with what customers expect from one of the world’s leading hotel brands creating a modern, contemporary and eclectic atmosphere that transcends to appeal to business users as it does to leisure guests.

The new ballroom and bar area is sleek and stylish and the elegant décor is matched by stunning ‘wave’ lighting in the ceiling.  Maximizing on space, the suite can accommodate up to 550 delegates theatre style or 440 for dinner with its own private bar, making this the perfect choice for business events, exhibitions and weddings.

Miguel Abellan Van Kan, General Manager of the Holiday Inn Stratford-upon-Avon said: “The refurbishment to the ground floor is key to injecting a new lease of life into the hotel.  Over the years there are some areas that we felt had become slightly tired and we are confident that the end results from this investment will exceed all expectations.   The first phase to the bar and ballroom already makes a real statement about the quality of the experience people can expect from the moment they arrive at the hotel and the next phases certainly won’t disappoint.

“This is a significant investment for us that on completion will have completely transformed the ground floor including a new restaurant, meeting and conference rooms and so we are confident that following this exciting makeover, we will once again assume our rightful position as a leading force to be reckoned with in the area.”

With phase 1 of the investment now complete, finer details of phase 2  will be released shortly.
