DETERMINED to be top of the class in the North West hospitality sector, the DoubleTree by Hilton Chester has recruited hospitality expert Pauline Downing from a leading University ensuring the Chester hotel gains first-class honours.
Recently appointed conference and events sales manager Pauline Downing has an impressive history in the industry, working at a handful of luxury hotels within the UK and abroad.
Pauline’s career spans over 30 years and her experience has been gained in a varied number of roles in hotel reception, front of house, marketing and conference and event sales.
The new role carries on from the success of Pauline’s previous position as conference and event manager at Aberystwyth University. Here Pauline changed the department into a commercial venture with the ‘selling’ of university facilities during non-student time.
Pauline says: “I’m thrilled to join such a vibrant, enthusiastic team here at the DoubleTree Chester.
“My main role is to maximise conference and events sale revenue and profit through pro-active selling and commercial management skills.
“I also want to create a working environment that supports organisational and brand values to build on the outstanding customer service that is already apparent at the hotel.”
