Planning and urban design consultancy Turley Associates has strengthened its national residential housing team with the appointment of director John Acres.
John will be responsible for national housing business development at Turley Associates. He joined on 27 February from Catesby Property Group where he was its Director of Planning.
John is a highly experienced planner with a career extending across four decades. He has held senior roles with the Greater London Authority, London Borough of Southwark, the Home Builders’ Federation, Redrow Homes and, more recently, the Catesby Property Group. John is currently a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) Regional Management Board and edits its regional magazine Tripwire.

John’s appointment closely follows the appointment of director Glen Langham in January. Glen has rejoined Turley Associates to take responsibility for its Birmingham residential housing team. Glen was formerly with Barratt Developments where he was its strategic land manager – a position he took up in 2010 following a four year career at Turley Associates.
