Supporting architects, construction and fabrication partners throughout the building industry Reynaers has released its latest Building Information Modelling (BIM) library, enhancing collaborative partnerships.
Based on Autodesk® Revit, Reynaers BIM system provides fully compatible models of Reynaers systems for integration into building designs, plans, and simulation. Accessible via the Reynaers Extranet, the library includes product data, operation details, maintenance information, guarantee data and relevant web links all in a downloadable digital format.
The library includes a comprehensive collection of Reynaers systems such as windows, doors, sliding doors and sliding and folding doors with additional products being added on a regular basis. In total some 130 BIM models of various aluminium systems are currently available.
Becoming more and more widely used throughout the UK, BIM is universally accepted by architects, engineers and contractors as an indispensable tool for their businesses. Due to become a prerequisite for all public sector tenders in 2015 it facilitates a shared knowledge resource of information about a building. This physical and functional data significantly assists key decisions during a building’s design, construction and lifecycle from earliest conceptual design right through to eventual demolition.

Reynaers BIM library can be downloaded free via the company’s extranet accessible via the Reynaers website, www.reynaers.co.uk, and comes in the form of Zip files that include all available configurations of the various systems.
