The market leading Redwell brand of infrared heaters is now available in Scotland, thanks to a joint venture between UK supplier Green Energy (EU) and local businesses Renewable Energy Scotland and SunStation Scotland.
Renewable Energy Scotland and SunStation Scotland have agreed to become distributors of the technology on behalf of Green Energy EU, each taking responsible for half of the country. These two organisations will now have exclusive rights to sell the technology in their respective areas.
Infrared heating is currently leading the field in alternative technology due to its cost saving, health and environmental benefits. The technology has recently been included by the Government in its ‘Green Deal’ offering.
Infrared heaters are not only cost effective, but they have no environmental impact and are better for your health. Infra-red heating is up to 70% more efficient than gas or heating oil alternatives and provides a natural form of warmth and as they do not rely on convection to circulate warmth, so rooms are not susceptible to draughts or chills. Redwell Heaters are not ordinary in design, they come as mirrors, chalkboards, hanging metal balls, artwork – and can completely replace ugly radiators in homes.
Mike Howard, director of Green Energy (eu) said: “We’re delighted to have Renewable Energy Scotland and SunStation Scotland on board as distributors of the Redwell range. We are going to be working closely with both organisations, training the staff to become experts in the technology and to ensure that they are fully equipped to give the best service possible.”
Green Energy EU is the only distributor of Redwell Infrared technology in the UK, and the team’s expertise in the field was recently sought by the Government’s DECC department when consulting on the Green Deal, in which Infrared technology has recently been included.
