Mitsubishi Electric is a global manufacturer of advanced air conditioning, heating and ventilation products that are used in throughout the UK’s built environment.
The company’s latest version of the Audit Tool is an upgrade of the previous version first released in 2008.
The Audit Tool allows building operators to immediately see the benefits – in terms of both carbon reduction and energy efficiency, of upgrading their air conditioning or heating equipment.
It details the different options available and provides accurate information on the payback period for new equipment, so that building operators can clearly see when it is financially beneficial to replace their existing system.
The 2012 version has a redesigned user interface which makes operation even simpler and provides a new ‘initial audit’ feature to give a simplified and quick overview.
The more detailed full audit provides detailed results that clearly show the cost per day of the old system and the Kg/CO2 emitted, whilst also calculating the average repair price to maintain the system.
Contrasting this with the cost and emissions from a new system, the tool calculates the Cost / CO2 savings of replacement, the savings in annual running costs from replacement and the cost of the new equipment. Finally, it shows the payback period and produces a full professional pdf report.
The Audit Tool presents a strong and convincing argument to building owners of the amount of savings in hard cash that they can achieve by discarding their old system in favour of a new one. The tool also highlights the huge reduction in CO2 emissions that can be achieved with a new system.
With the help of the Audit Tool it is easy and straightforward to assess a customer’s individual needs and provide detailed facts and figures to promote the overall cost effectiveness of replacement.
The software will also detail the different replacement options available and highlight which new equipment can be offset against the company’s annual tax bill under the Government’s ECA (Enhanced Capital Allowance) scheme which supports the use of energy efficient systems.
