Wolverhampton based construction firm IB Construction have secured an impressive £1.1 million contract to build a new development on Stafford Road, Wolverhampton. The development, which will be built on the site of the old Goodyear Head Quarters, will be a Hungry Horse pub, part of the Greene King chain. This will be their first project within the Wolverhampton city boundaries for a number of years.
Tim Lewis Contracts Manager said: “We are very proud to be working on such a prestigious site and welcome the opportunity to use local labour on a local project.” Work will begin at the end of May and is expected to be completed at the end of the year. The development will be IB Construction’s second new build pub for Greene King.
Securing the contract serves to further re-enforce the prosperous start IB Construction have made since the New Year with an ever-increasing list of orders. The contract also reflects the trusted relationship they have developed with Greene King and their previous successes in the refurbishment of the Hussey Arms in Brownhills and the development of a pub in Hem Heath, Trentham. Tim Lewis added: “Our knowledge of fast-track retail and leisure developments have marked us out as the ideal company for the project and our experience enables us to add value to each project we carry out within this sector we welcome our continuing relationship with Greene King.”
