The Challenge
The harsh and severe climate of the south coast, meant that any specified render for the Hastings Care Home had to be technically superior to standard render finishes as well as to limit the maintenance on the building. The chosen render would need to be able to deter algae and mould build up, which can be prevalent in coastal areas but also prove to be robust and flexible.
The JUB Solution
NANOSIL, part of the Jubizol façade range from JUB System was the perfect solution to the challenge. NANOSIL is a ‘State of the Art’ render finish, which has been designed using the latest nanotechnologies. This means that the product has a very high self cleaning effect which uses the environment to help protect and clean the surface, deterring the build up of damaging surface films.
• High and sustainable water repellence – ideal for severe weather areas
• High resistance to smoke, UV rays and other atmospheric factors
• Long-term resistance to algae, mould and other fungal growth
• Suitable for high traffic areas, such as city centres
