Denne, part of the Leadbitter Group, has signed two new contracts in Leyton with housing association London & Quadrant (L&Q). These two contracts are the first projects that Denne has won after being included in L&Q’s construction and regeneration Framework Agreement in 2011.
The first project, completing in Spring 2013, involves the construction of 18 new apartments on Church Road in Leyton. The £2 million development will include seven one-bedroom flats, 10 two-bedroom flats and one wheelchair accessible, one bed unit. The homes will be built to Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3 and will utilise renewable energy technologies such as air source heat pumps.
The other project is a £3 million contract to construct 28 three-storey, terraced houses on Claude Road and Murchison Road in Leyton. These four and five bedroom properties will also be built to Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3 and will be made available for local people by Spring 2013.
These latest contracts follow on from the work that Denne is currently undertaking for L&Q on the major £35 million regeneration scheme of South Kilburn, Brent.
Graham Brown, Managing Director, Denne, said: “We are delighted to continue strengthening our relationship with L&Q through these two projects in Leyton. Together, Denne and L&Q will provide high quality and energy efficient affordable housing.”
