FuelStop appears at the Oil & Renewable Energies Show

As the most independently certified thermostatic fire valve on the market, FuelStop is the only product to fulfil both the British Safety Standard BS 5410 part 1 and OFTEC OFS E101: 1998, making it the most reliable choice for installers and customers.

Capillary fire valves are a legal requirement for fuel burners. With a wide range of pipe connections and capillary lengths, FuelStop offers the broadest choice on the market.

Consisting of three parts, the FuelStop TFV is filled with liquid, offering more reliability even in harsh climatic conditions, unlike other gas-filled products.

The liquid inside the capillary expands and causes the valve to shut down, immediately cutting off the supply of fuel to the appliance and preventing a fire. The valve body is installedoutside the external wall of the property, whilst the capillary runs from the valve body to the sensor, located in the casing of the appliance.

Suitable for Class C and Class D fuels, as well as LPG, FuelStop provides automatic shut-off in the event that a fuel-burning appliance overheats. In addition, a secondary precaution is installed in FuelStop’s valve which provides a failsafe shut off in the event of the capillary of sensor failing.

The FuelStop TFVs are manufactured in two temperature ranges; 66-72°C and 86-95°C. 66-72°C is used for standard installations such as boilers, whilst the 86-95°C range will be used for installations where exposure to higher temperatures are likely.

David Meacock, of FuelStop said: “Meeting both British Safety Standard BS 5410 part 1 and OFTEC OFS E101: 1998, FuelStop TFVs offer installers and customers reassurance. With the compliance of thelegislation and safety standards, FuelStop TFVs offers more reliability even in harsh climatic conditions.”
