The award winning Coral collection from Forbo Flooring Systems is the ultimate moisture absorber - now boasting even better performance in the removal of dirt.
A supreme all-rounder, the enhanced range also offers superior environmental credentials and improved fire rating, as well as being even easier to install.
According to BS 7953:1999, an entrance flooring system is necessary in order to reduce the risk of slip injuries, prolong the life of the interior floor finishes and reduce the cost of ongoing maintenance.
The new Coral entrance system collection is now effective at stopping up to 94% of all tracked in dirt, making it 40% more effective. For end users, this is important on two levels; firstly from a safety perspective in reducing the potential for slips and trips, and secondly in the substantial saving of up to 65% in cleaning costs.
Coral is ideal for all types of entrance areas and is the perfect solution where a textile entrance system is required to simultaneously absorb moisture and remove dry soiling. There are many ranges to choose from depending on the application, with Coral Classic, the ultimate moisture absorber, now available in 50 x 50cm tiles for an easier fit, Coral Brush Pure, the great all rounder for moisture and dirt removal, Coral Brush Blend, offering a contemporary linear design, Coral Duo, ideal for all entrances but especially small areas and Coral Welcome for ultimate environmental credentials.
Janet Lowe UK Market Manager at Forbo explains: “We are pleased to announce that the Coral collection now has 100% Econyl fibre across Coral Welcome, Brush Pure, Brush Blend and 75% in Duo. Coral Welcome also has a primary backing made from recycled PET bottles. This comes as a part of our environmental commitment where we must be able to demonstrate robust environmental principles and working practices. As such, we are always looking to apply the four key principles of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Renew to all ranges.”
Contributing to its BREEAM certification is the amount of Econyl regenerated solution dyed polyamide yarn used in Coral, which is made using reprocessed industrial waste and post consumer waste. What’s more, Forbo’s yarn waste from its Krommenie site is sent back to the main supplier and this is regenerated into new Coral yarn.
All entrance systems from Forbo are designed to integrate. When Coral is combined with Nuway, a rigid system providing the first line of defence outside or inside a building, a total entrance flooring system is formed that offers superior performance. This enables specifiers to offer clients fully ‘zoned’ design concepts from exterior to interior, ensuring optimum performance throughout. Additionally, the new solid colours in Brush Pure coordinate exceptionally well with Forbo’s resilient and carpet tile interior finishes.
Forbo‘s Coral entrance systems have been the international market leader for more than 40 years and have been independently tested by TUV. Constantly evolving, Coral collection also complies with the highest fire class standard Bfl-S1, as many entrances and access points are also fire exits.
Janet continues: “Demonstrating the outstanding benefits, Coral Brush entrance flooring system has been voted CFJ’s ‘Entrance Matting Product of the Year 2013’.”
