Bursting with bright, vibrant, refreshing, sumptuous shades, the new Flotex Colour collection from Forbo Flooring Systems packs in so many it’s clear to see why the unique hybrid product appeals to a wide variety of sectors and applications.
Boasting a staggering 110 unique colourways, the new Flotex Colour collection also combines unbeatable bionic flooring performance with an Allergy UK Seal of Approval – making it ideal for all sectors, but particularly for education and hospitality; spaces where a visual stimulus and indoor air quality is important.
The diverse and encapsulating approach to colour and design in this collection, combined with a level of sophistication and style, makes it an incredibly fresh and modern alternative to carpet tiles. Flexibility is key and so each of the three ranges within the collection are available in both sheet and tile format and have been thoughtfully compiled. With a more streamlined and integrated concept, the focus is very much on the whole palette - showing the breadth of choice and ranges working together.
Flotex Colour takes the Metro, Metro Neon, Calgary and Penang ranges and introduces new shades. Additionally, the collection features 26 colour co-ordinating Flotex Artline sheet borders in 11cm and 22cm widths, adding a whole new creative dimension. Colour is an intensely individual choice and so these enriched ranges feature a multitude of hues to suit any application.
Lending themselves well to primary schools where bright colours are the norm to stimulate children, the Metro Neon colourways in particular certainly turn heads. These vivid, bright accent colours create focal points within the design and really bring a flooring design to life – they can be used to create breakout areas and workspaces, as well as interesting ‘walkways’ through open spaces.
Jason Holmes, Head of Design at Forbo Flooring Systems comments: “Wellness and distinctiveness are important themes according to firms active in the retail, hospitality and education sectors and Flotex Colour satisfies on both levels. Being a hybrid product, it has multiple high performance characteristics and incredible design options all in one floor covering.”
The Allergy UK Seal of Approval indicates that Flotex aids a healthy interior by trapping allergens in the tip of the nylon fibres until easily releasing them on vacuuming. The 70 million fibres per m2 in Flotex provide a soft and warm textured surface that is also highly suitable for areas that might come into contact with liquids, thanks to the fact that Flotex is 100% waterproof, meaning it can also be washed right down to the base of the flock unlike other textile floor coverings. Meanwhile, the fibres are extraordinarily flexible and comfortable underfoot, yet their density, design and strength mean they are incredibly durable and will return to their original shape.
Allowing the specifer even more choice and the ability to control the design process, Forbo’s new Flotex Vision includes innovative concepts and advanced printing technologies that enable truly bespoke and custom-made designs along with a remarkable on demand collection of over 600 designs.
