F. Ball and Co. Ltd., the UK’s leading manufacturer of flooring adhesives and subfloor preparation products, has launched social media profiles on Facebook and Twitter, adding to its extensive digital information and communication platforms and creating additional direct lines of contact with contractors and specifiers.
These innovative flooring social media channels launch alongside F. Ball’s new Infohub, a dedicated news and information website for the contract flooring industry, collating product launches and promotions designed to give customers a better insight into what’s happening at F. Ball.
Commenting on the launch, Marketing Manager, Richard Harris, said: “Communicating with the people that use our products has been key to F Ball’s lasting success, and through these new social media channels we can engage with contractors and specifiers in more ways than ever before.
"We are delighted with the number of people that have contacted us already to share videos and photos of F Ball products in use, and are encouraging contractors and specifiers to ‘follow us’ on Twitter to be kept up to date with the latest F. Ball news.”
Change and innovation have been a constant throughout the 125-year history of F. Ball and Co. Ltd., which has helped to maintain the company’s leading position in the flooring adhesives and smoothing underlayment industry.
F. Ball’s Recommended Adhesives Guide (RAG), for example, was first launched in 1973, to become the industry’s most trusted guide to adhesives and floorcovering compatibility.
The RAG, which is updated continually throughout the year on the F. Ball website, was recently also made available through a range of digital and interactive formats, including the iRAG app for iPhone, Android and Windows Mobile platforms. In 2012 F Ball also launched the iBall Player (www.iball.tv), the first online television channel to feature a library of advice and best practice videos for flooring contractors and industry professionals.
