F. Ball and Co. Ltd has released a new version of its Recommended Adhesives Guide (RAG) for 2014, featuring over 5,500 up-to-date adhesive recommendations for floorcoverings, endorsed by over 200 leading international manufacturers.
Flooring contractors who gamble by using the wrong adhesives are opening themselves up to potentially costly mistakes. The RAG gives clear advice on how to get adhesive selection right first time, and is the industry’s most trusted guide to adhesives and floorcovering compatibility.
Commenting on the newest version of the RAG, F. Ball’s Marketing Manager, Richard Harris, said: “Contractors should always consult an up-to-date RAG before selecting an adhesive, because the materials used in floorcoverings, skirtings and covings change according to advances in manufacturing techniques. The RAG really does take the gamble out of adhesive selection."
2014 also marks the 50th anniversary of F. Ball's iconic adhesive, Styccobond F3. Enhanced and improved over the years in line with advances in technology, Styccobond F3 remains UK flooring contractors' favourite adhesive for the installation of textile floorcoverings. It is a truly versatile adhesive, compatible with around 70% of the floorcoverings listed in RAG.
The RAG is available as a free printed A5 book, an interactive, searchable version on the F. Ball website (http://www.f-ball.co.uk/rag.asp) and as a free app available for smartphone and tablet devices via the Apple and Google app stores. The printed edition is released once every year and the digital editions are regularly updated, to ensure that contractors have access to the latest guidance about which adhesives are compatible with which floorcoverings.
All RAG adhesive recommendations are endorsed by the respective floorcovering manufacturers and F. Ball works with manufacturers constantly to keep information within the RAG updated. By making the guide easy to access, online or in print, F. Ball assists professional flooring contractors and specifiers to easily and confidently select the most suitable flooring adhesives.
