A new app launched by Saint-Gobain Ecophon provides easy access to its catalogue of acoustic ceilings and wall panels, allowing and enabling architects, designers and specifiers to download all of its systems as BIM objects.
Available from the Apple App Store, Ecophon’s new app allows users to browse through its diverse collection of suspended acoustic ceilings and wall panel design options for inspiration. Downloadable installation guides, diagrams and data sheets explain how solutions fit and work together, aiming to simplify installation on site.
The app is the latest addition to a series of e-tools accessed from Ecophon’s website www.ecophon.com/uk. Available tools enable each Ecophon ceiling and wall panel system to be downloaded for free as a BIM object file, and the web-based Ecophon Maintenance Guide tailors maintenance instructions to individual projects. Users can also generate product-specific documents in real time for advice on how to care for the ceiling throughout its lifetime.
Will Jones, marketing manager at Ecophon, said: ‘We’ve designed the app and other e-tools to provide quick and easy access to information on all of our products. It gives customers free rein to explore the entire Ecophon range and get to grips with how systems might work on site and in practice. The app can also integrate with the user’s email so information can be easily sent and shared.
‘Once decisions have been made, our team can then help with comprehensive technical support and full CAD drawing service to bring chosen systems to life.’
