Power management company Eaton has announced that its Cooper Lighting and Safety business has added the Halo-Pack 2 to its next-generation range of LED emergency lighting products.
Following the successful launch of the Zetalite 3 last year, the business has expanded its range with the new luminaire as demand continues to grow for durable and efficient LED lighting for emergency purposes.
The Halo-Pack 2 combines the latest LED technology with an ultra low profile design to offer a reliable, low energy emergency luminaire with a discrete appearance.
Designed for fast and simple installation into solid and exposed grid ceilings, the Halo-Pack 2 is also supplied with an adaptor plate for retro fitting and shallow ceiling applications.
The product incorporates an environmentally-friendly NiMH battery with low power consumption to reduce the cost of ownership. Additionally, its high-power 3 Watt LED lamp has a lifespan greater than 50,000 hours to minimise maintenance requirements.
The Halo-Pack 2 is expected to be equally as sought after among electrical contractors and wholesalers as the Zetalite 3, which comprises of 12 0.25 Watt white LEDs.
Steve Saville, product manager for emergency lighting within Eaton’s Cooper Lighting and Safety business, said: “The traditional preference was for 8-Watt fluorescent tubes, which were perceived as being lower in cost. But that is rapidly giving way to high demand for LED solutions which have a longer life and require less maintenance, while reducing overall costs through greater energy efficiency.
"By adding the Halo-Pack 2 to our portfolio of next generation LED emergency luminaires, we are now able to offer electrical contractors and wholesalers an even wider choice of affordable and efficient products.”
