In a bid to make the specification of colour as straightforward as possible, Dulux Trade has revamped its online colour section.
The new web pages provide guidance on colour scheming, as well as easy access to a number of useful resources, which are available to download.
The updates include an interactive colour selection tool, allowing users to browse full colour ranges, or filter this to view only those shades available in their chosen product. What’s more, the selector tool suggests complementary tones and schemes, and has a function to order free swatches.
The colour area is divided into four sections to mirror the specification process; guiding users from initial colour selection, through to how they can visualise schemes with digital tools.
Starting with the ‘Resources’ section, users can order or download a range of useful literature, including colour cards and brochures, at the click of a button. The experts at Dulux Trade have also provided straightforward advice on colour scheming and guidance on what to consider when specifying in a commercial environment.
For an overview of the different Dulux Trade colour collections, and to quickly check product availability, users can visit the ‘Collections’ area. For those wanting to be a bit more adventurous with colour, the website also provides a source of inspiration through its ‘Design Collections’ section, which brings together the latest trend-led ranges from the manufacturer; including the Colour Futures and White Dimensions collections.
Last but certainly not least, the website offers a range of digital tools packaged in the ‘Design Tools’ area of the website. This provides access to, and advice on, the extensive range of free tools the leading manufacturer has developed to help simplify and enhance the colour selection process for specifiers and their customers – such as the Digital Colour Palette tool.
Joanne McMullen, Brand Manager for Colour at Dulux Trade, explained: “We know from our customers that one of the biggest frustrations when specifying colour is spending time selecting a shade, and then finding out that it’s not available in the product you want to use. So, one of the key objectives for the updated colour section was to make this process as simple and straightforward as possible.
“Not only does the new section of the website provide access to a wealth of information, the collection of digital tools can also be downloaded for free, giving users access to innovative resources on the go.”
