Drain Center, in conjunction with Linnick Group, has won a contract to supply all utility products for Center Parcs Woburn Forest.
The two companies, which celebrate a relationship spanning over ten years, will together provide the mechanical and electrical infrastructure for the new Center Parcs. Linnick Engineering will be responsible for the infrastructures for gas, water, high and low voltage, television and data containment, and Drain Center will act as exclusive supply partner for all water pipes, valves, electrofusion fittings and ducting for telecommunication cables.
Drain Center, a leading national supplier of over 30,000 drainage products to the professional construction market, was able to enhance its offering by supplying McElroy DynaMc Butt Fusion Welders, winches and pipe installation equipment to the site via sister brand MCA Hire, giving Linnick Engineering just one point of contact, instead of having to go through multiple suppliers.
Rachel McGreevy, Regional Key Account Manager, Drain Center, said: “We won the contract because we’ve earned Linnick Engineering’s trust, after working with them for nearly a decade.
“They know that when we say we’ll deliver, we make sure it happens - on time and in full - and we’ll get straight on site if there are any problems.”
Tony Nicklin, Managing Director Linnick Engineering Limited said: “We’ve been fortunate enough to work with Center Parcs for over two decades – we regularly review and redesign the mechanical and electrical structures that currently exist at the four Center Parcs UK sites and now we’ve landed the Woburn Forest contract.
“Because we know the brand so well, we know what needs to be done and we make sure we deliver to a high standard of design and workmanship as well as being on time.
“We chose to partner with Drain Center because they demonstrated they had the product availability systems necessary for a project of this scale, along with a commitment to keep their promises and that was important to us.”
The contract required timed deliveries on site and Drain Center was able to fulfil this requirement.
Rachel McGreevy finished: “We wanted to be flexible to ensure we could offer the best customer service available – and that flexibility has paid off. We are thrilled to be working with Linnick Engineering on this project.”
Work began on Center Parcs Woburn Forest in May of this year and is due for completion in spring 2014.
