A record number of National Insulation Association (NIA) members attended a recent local forum to hear a spokesperson from the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) talk about the Government’s new Energy Company Obligation (ECO) and Green Deal schemes, both scheduled for launch in 2013.
The forum, organised by the NIA, took place on 25th May in Letchworth with the aim of informing members of the latest developments on the Government’s new schemes and the insulation industry.
Neil Marshall, Chief Executive if the NIA, commented: “It’s very important that we are able to provide these forums for our members so that they can raise any concerns or issues they have with recent developments and to discuss these with the NIA. As the NIA is working very closely with Government it’s ideally placed to express any points made at these forums.”
The local forums take place every quarter at six locations across Great Britian and Northern Ireland and are set up by the NIA to inform and update their members on the latest news affecting their industry. The forums are also regularly attended by members of key agencies to give presentations about a range of interesting subjects. The Energy Saving Trust (EST) is a regular contributor to the forums, often speaking on local schemes that benefit the industry.
