Customers of Alfa Laval can now obtain 3D interactive previews of important new products on a re-launched version of the company’s Virtual Showroom at www.alfalaval.com/showroom.
Currently on display are seven of the company’s latest products for important sectors such as energy, the environment and food.
Using 3D imagery, the Showroom provides visitors with the opportunity for a 360 degree overview of each product accompanied by concise details of each product’s key features and benefits. The showroom will be updated as new products are launched in the future.
First launched back in 2003, the Virtual Showroom has been a big hit with customers. Since the launch, five versions have been introduced, each available in more than 30 languages. The most recent edition is available in 50 unique country / language versions and includes new features such as films, customer testimonials and downloads for, seven of the company’s most groundbreaking new products.
Typical of these is the ALDEC G3 Decanter which enables Sewage Treatment Plants to process 10 % more sludge while consuming up to 40 % less energy compared to the previous version. Another product launch designed to save energy costs is the Brew 2001 brewery separator. Equipped with the patented eDrive, the Brew 2001 will allow large breweries to save around 25,000 Euros per year in energy costs.
The Compabloc 120 is another excellent example of Alfa Laval technology being used to reduce energy consumption and cut CO2 emissions. As the related customer testimonial makes clear, one Canadian refinery has cut annual fuel costs by $1.4 million and slashed carbon emissions by 10 000 tons a year by replacing bulky shell-and-tube heat exchangers with compact Compabloc 120 heat exchangers.
