The £20 million four star Casa hotel has officially opened its doors, with a glittering preview evening attended by over 160 business partners, media and local representatives. Casa is the town’s only 4-star hotel and excitement has been building for visitors to be able to enjoy unrivalled luxury accommodation, state-of-the-art facilities and a touch of Spanish flair.
‘Casa’ is the Spanish word for ‘home’, and this is at the heart of the hotel’s aspirations with 100 luxury bedrooms complete with state-of-the-art technology, facilities for weddings, 176 free car parking spaces and a number of bars to unwind in. The Spanish theme runs throughout the decor and interiors, to help create a vibrant, warm ambience. The 94 deluxe bedrooms come complete with rain-showers, 32" flatscreen televisions, Wi Fi, Super King size beds and stunning floor to ceiling windows.
For that extra special break or simply for those who prefer the finer things in life, guests can enjoy a stay in one of the 6 stylish suites. These ultra-luxurious suites include Jacuzzi baths, a lounge and dressing area, separate shower cubicle, double basins, super king or four poster beds and balconies. Two suites boast hot tubs on the balcony, which are a perfect indulgence for any guest seeking the ultimate retreat and relaxation.
Guests can also enjoy a wide range of facilities: a 100-cover restaurant, Cocina, which serves top-class traditional Spanish tapas, the latest leisure facilities in the Gym, open terraces and landscaped gardens. And, with the picturesque Peak District National Park on the doorstep, guests can easily access a host of attractions, including Chatsworth House, Bolsover Castle and the neighbouring towns of Matlock Bath, Buxton and Bakewell.
Stuart Downham, Hotel Operations Director, said “Casa is a unique property that combines really beautiful design with forward-thinking ideas about how to best use modern buildings. Having worked in hospitality for a long time, we are overwhelmed with the amount of personality the hotel holds and the hotel will be a huge asset, attracting more visitors, to the town itself, to the surrounding area and to the wider region.”
