As part of a £1.3m refurbishment project, designers APM Design were given a brief to illuminate the St Ann’s House Manchester lift lobby with distinctive contemporary fittings. ‘Bump’ pendants from Chelsom were specified featuring clear individual glass lenses bonded into laser cut metalwork which is finished in polished chrome.
Each pendant is fitted with eight 42W halogen lamps to create the maximum level of sparkle through the clear polished glass domes. Removable chrome mesh top diffusers cover the body of the fitting to prevent the ingress of dust and insects and the strainer wires are adjustable during installation to accommodate individual drop requirements.
Engineers KJ Tait were responsible for the lighting installation which brings a touch of glamour to this prestigious office building, managed by Jones Lang Lasalle, which overlooks St Ann’s Square in Manchester city centre.
