Bristan has launched a new range of TMV2 and TMV3 mini shower valves for the commercial market. Available in exposed and concealed versions, the valves have been innovatively designed to make installation and maintenance as easy as possible.
The new exposed version features adjustable elbows, with short (110mm-130mm) and long (135mm-155mm) sets supplied at no extra cost. This adjustability enables the centre section to range from 110mm to 155mm, making the valve particularly easy and straightforward to install in retrofit applications. As the product can be quickly and simply altered to fit any existing fixing holes, time and hassle is reduced, and the need for retiling is eliminated. Any existing commercial shower valve can therefore be easily replaced with Bristan’s new exposed product.
As well as being easy to install, the concealed version has been designed to overcome the issues associated with maintaining a recessed product. A removable steel cover plate provides easy access to the valve, as well as all serviceable parts and the integral isolation. The product can therefore be flushed and cleaned from the front, making maintenance programmes easier and less time consuming. Easy-clean filters have been added to further aid maintenance.
Both the exposed and concealed versions offer TMV2 and TMV3 thermostatic safety as standard – making them suitable for all types of commercial application – as well as high performance even if the inlet pressure is low. There is a choice of wheel or lever handles, which both have a single sequential control for temperature and flow.
Chris Tranter, product manager at Bristan, said: “With the launch of our new exposed mini shower valve we believe we have created the ultimate retrofit commercial product. We supply two sets of elbows as standard, so there’s no additional cost or hassle involved in making the valves fit the existing footprint. And of course if it’s a new installation there will be complete flexibility.
“Meanwhile, the concealed version enables specifiers to opt for a neat, aesthetically pleasing look without having to worry about how the recessed valve will be maintained. Commercial washroom products need to be regularly cleaned and flushed to eliminate the growth of harmful bacteria such as legionella and pseudomonas, and so specifiers sometimes avoid concealed shower valves because they can be difficult to access. Our concealed product is accessed and isolated from the front, so it can be maintained quickly and easily.
“These are two new additions to an ever-growing commercial product range that has been innovatively designed to make installation and maintenance easier for our customers.”
