The most authentic, high-quality poker lounge in the UK has opened at London’s Hippodrome Casino in Leicester Square.
The 24-hour PokerStars LIVE poker lounge, created by design and fit-out specialist Area Sq, provides players with a wide range of poker games in a relaxing and luxurious environment.
Oliver Hammond, sales director at Area Sq, commented: "The Hippodrome is the premier casino destination in London. Our brief was to create an exceptional environment in which to play poker 24/7, with great lighting, comfortable seating and a striking sports based audio visual background poker players enjoy.
"Area Sq refurbished and rebranded the existing poker deck and created PokerStars’ first live poker room in the UK. The poker room's luxury interior design has been developed to take poker to a new level, catching the interest of all national and international players and tournament organisers.”
The dedicated poker room will play host to upcoming tournament series, including the UK & Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT) from April 12 – 14.
Area Sq was appointed for this prestigious project following the successful design and fit-out of PokerStars London offices completed in 2012. Area Sq worked in collaboration with MKV Design on the project.
