The hammam space, Ananda, designed by Doshi Levien for Glass Idromassaggio is recipient of the Design Awards 2011 from Wallpaper magazine. Selected from manufacturers of excellence from across the globe, the awards recognise the most innovative projects in the fields of design, architecture and fashion with categories ranging from “Best Boat” to “Best Jewellery” and, in the case of Glass, “Best Steam Team”.
This is an important award for Ananda, a “bespoke” modular wellness project that can be configured to meet the individual tastes and needs of people wanting to enjoy the steam bath as a cosy, intimate experience. At the same time, it still allows for a more social experience, regardless of how much space is available, thus fully espousing the concept of tailor-made spaces, flexibility and extreme adaptability. A customisable pleasure that allows the architect, the interior designer and each user to personalise the hammam to their own taste with the benefits of delightful materials, refined design and cutting-edge technology.
Ananda will be available in the UK from June 2011 and prices are currently being calculated.
