The AmbiRad Group, one of Europe’s largest manufacturers and suppliers of heating and ventilation systems, is set for major growth in 2011 with ambitious plans to boost exports and achieve rapid expansion into overseas markets.
It is moving its business emphasis towards high efficiency technologies such as biomass and condensing systems and has a number of key initiatives in this area. Also it continues to spearhead its export drive across Europe and into Asia creating valuable sales to help Britain’s recovery from recession. It will further help to establish the AmbiRad Group as one of the fastest growing companies of its kind in the UK.
Sales of its products are already growing rapidly in countries such as Russia, Belarus, Turkey, Poland, Hungary, Norway, Lithuania and Romania and there are now plans for further expansion into the Middle East.
It is particularly good news for Benson Heating Ltd, based in Knighton, Powys, which was taken over last year by AmbiRad. The factory has now been designated as a “Flagship Manufacturer” by the company to develop its new environmentally sustainable heating technologies now in such demand worldwide by organisations looking to reduce energy costs.
AmbiRad’s Export and Marketing director Simon Hartles, commented: “As well as securing jobs for all existing staff at Benson Heating, the potential for further growth and new employment is excellent as our export sales and investment into new technologies grows.”
Benson Heating, which originally supplied oil and gas-fired heaters, went into administration at the end of May 2009, resulting in all 66 members of staff losing their jobs. Now, nearly 18 months on as AmbiRad continues to develop sales and production at the facility, some 50 new jobs have been created to date as well as two new apprentice positions.
The AmbiRad Group, which recently announced record sales figures, in emphasising the importance of Benson contribution expects to create further new job opportunities for both skilled and unskilled staff at the Welsh factory as business grows throughout 2011.
In addition to the Powys site, AmbiRad has headquarters in Brierley Hill, West Midlands. Its Nordair Niche brand has sites in Stockport in Cheshire and Braintree in Essex. Reznor is based in Folkstone, Kent.
