The TacFast system allows the rapid installation of different floor coverings using mechanical fixing technology, eliminating the need for wet adhesive and facilitating rapid turnaround of projects.
Designed on hook and loop technology and using interlocking polypropylene discs and panels to create an instantaneous moisture barrier, TacFast creates a new smooth subfloor without any adhesives or bonding to the floor required. The entire system is completely free floating.
A PSA impregnated loop fabric is rolled onto the rigid and level subfloor and the floorcoverings are simply ‘placed’ onto it, achieving an immediate bond that can be trafficked without delay.
Removing reliance on wet trades, TacFast requires no drying time, does not create a delay and provides instant availability for use upon install – even over damp or green screeds. The system also accommodates a wide cross section of floorcoverings ranging from ceramic tiles to broadloom carpet without adaptation, making it ideal for locations using different flooring materials within the same space.
With a proven record of providing commercial, retail and hospitality environments with a fast-fix flooring method, the TacFast® system also has a significant advantage for locations that replace floorcoverings on a frequent basis, or as refreshed layouts dictate. The original floorcovering can be lifted by hand and replaced with new, without any lengthy mechanical removal or installation processes required, even with ceramic floorings.
“The TacFast system is revolutionising the floor installation sector and can help specifiers and facilities managers to achieve extremely fast installations, whether build-to-order, turnkey or refurbishment,” explains Jonathan Stone, CCO, TacFast.
“What’s more, it solves numerous problems that can occur on-site during installation or floorcovering replacement. And with the ability to mix floorcovering types without requiring specialist and different installation procedures TacFast also means less compromise to be made in the journey from initial specification to final installation.”
The TacFast system can be specified and is compatible with the majority of floorcoverings including carpet, carpet tiles, engineered wood, laminate, resilient sheet, LVT, natural stone and ceramic.
