A-Safe Ltd, the Halifax based polymer safety barrier company, attended LogiMAT, the International Trade Fair for Distribution, Materials Handling and Information Flow, setting new standards as the biggest annual intralogistics exhibition in Europe.
Between 8 and 10 February 2011 international exhibitors and decision-makers from industry, trade and service sectors came together at the new exhibition centre at Stuttgart airport to find new business partners. The focus was to review innovative products, solutions and systems for the procurement of warehouse, production and distribution logistics.
Holger Ragger, Director of A-Safe GMBH was really pleased with the turnout and professional quality of the attendees saying: “We had more visitors to the stand than I anticipated. Over 90% of top German companies, excluding the Financial Sector, were interested, as well as other interest from Switzerland and Austria”.
A show stopper for the A-Safe Stand, specially brought in from Halifax, was the screen showing a video of a fork lift truck bouncing unscathed off a traffic barrier. On stand, over 500 individual business cards were taken as well as seeing general interest from 1000 others over the three day period.
James Smith, Director of A-Safe Ltd, giving a warm Yorkshire response said: “it was fantastic to support A-Safe GMBH in Stuttgart and I was stunned at the number of leads and enquiries generated from major international companies”.
James went on to enthuse: “There is an enormous amount of work ahead of us to turn all those leads into business, but we will be going through every one”.
