100% Design - the UK’s biggest and most attended design exhibition - continues to lead the way with its showcase of the very best in innovative materials and components at the Eco Design & Build section for 2013.
One of five dedicated halls, Eco Design & Build forms an essential element of the exhibition, catering for thosen involved in sustainable design and the built environment. Over 150 exhibitors are already lined up to present their pioneering solutions to the industry. The hall will also host a dedicated events programme across each day of the exhibition.
Show Director, William Knight, comments: "The Eco, Design & Build section of 100% Design is one of the most dynamic and engaging parts of the show. The variety of products on display - and their applications - act as an inspiration for architects and designers as well as a practical and informed place to source new ideas and creative approaches."
Launching exclusively at 100% Design will be 3M’s brand new architectural lighting; the Flex and Air range. FLEX is a customisable light feature that can be suspended to create beautifully luminous installations along walls or ceilings. AIR is an extremely flexible and lightweight hoop fixture available in a multitude of diameters and combinations of RGB color output.
The focal hub at the centre of the Eco, Design & Build hall acts as a central meeting place for the industry and visitors to the hall. Developed with show designers Thomas Matthews, the hub will take the form of a 100sqm showcase for innovative materials. Thomas Matthews has previously devised the graphic identity for the Gardens by the Bay in Singapore and also worked on the development of the Jodrell Bank visitor centre.
This major show feature will draw together the best technology and products in an interactive and engaging space.
By delivering a hands-on experience, the material specialists will demonstrate the latest ideas and products for architectural and interior design use.
