Sustainable buildings material manufacturers Lime Technology and Hemcrete Projects have rebranded as Limetec Limited and HemBuild Limited under the joint Limetec Group banner.
Limetec Group specialises in helping customers create buildings which are eco-efficient: conserving energy use - and saving on heating and cooling bills - through thermal management and employing natural, organic materials which reduce waste and are recyclable.
Limetec Group chief operating officer, Wayne Humphreys, says: "Our mission is to be the preferred choice for sustainable building solutions, delivering an excellent customer experience through service, quality, and value. This rebrand and new visual identity is a reflection of our commitment to that ethos, offering professional, customer-centric products and services, and reinforcing our resolve to strive for a green building future."
The new website is designed to cater for self-builders and renovators, architects and specifiers, and commercial and trade customers. In the near future, alongside other new features, an e-commerce capability will be implemented, allowing all three categories of customers to buy direct from Limetec and HemBuild online.
Limetec operates two divisions: Limetec Mortars & Renders and Limetec External Wall Insulation.
Limetec Mortars & Renders division manufactures own brand traditional hydraulic lime mortars in a range of earth tones, and partners with Baumit to provide pre-mixed renders and plasters throughout the UK. These are ideal for conservation/renovation projects, historic buildings, new homes, self-build and mainstream commercial applications. A new tinting machine means Limetec customers can choose from 888 render shades to create attractive, aesthetically pleasing eco-efficient buildings.
Limetec's EWI division offers both External and Internal Wall Insulation. External Wall Insulation provides an ideal solution for solid wall and hard to treat properties, and offers an extremely effective means of reducing expensive and wasteful heat loss from buildings, saving on energy bills and reducing carbon footprint. Internal Wall Insulation is a healthy and sustainable insulation product made from premium grade hemp and flax fibres, is simple to install in both new build and retrofit applications, and can be used in roofs, floors and walls.
HemBuild offers three different building systems produced using natural materials and offering significant home heating and cooling advantages: HemBuild specialises in the design, manufacture and installation of high-performance off-site panelised and timberframe building solutions, all of which are carbon-friendly and thermally efficient; HemClad is a variant of HemBuild designed specifically for "infill-walling" situations, and is the most cost-efficient alternative to light-weight systems to provide thermal mass effect; and HemLine has been developed to provide all the benefits of Internal Wall Insulation systems in a panellised factory-made system that incorporates Limetec's unique Hemcrete bio-composite insulation within a timber framing.
