Elco has launched the Thision S Plus range of highly efficient and technologically advanced boilers.

The completely new unit offers extremely low NOx and CO emissions, thanks to a specially configured heat exchanger which optimises flue gases.

Thision S Plus is available in three models: 34kW, 45kW and 53kW – each of which has a class-leading A/A+ energy efficiency rating, making them perfect for a variety of new and replacement projects.

The compact units (measuring 680mm (h) x 385mm (d) with widths between 500mm and 660mm) have been designed for simple installation and maintenance, with the control board mounted on a hinge-open enclosure.

The Thision S Plus also features a highly advanced heat exchanger configuration, which ensures continuous automatic de-aeration. In addition, there is a down-firing premix burner system constructed from ceramic plaques capable of modulating from full output to as low as 1:6, thanks to a highly accurate fan speed control. This low turndown ratio makes the Thision S Plus ideal for modern, well insulated buildings, where the heating demand is low throughout the year.

All boilers in the range benefit from an over-pressure of up to 90 Pa at the flue connection, allowing the appliances to be exhausted over considerable distances, with or without a room sealed air supply. In addition, Thision S Plus boilers are supplied with a weather compensation kit built-in to the boiler. This clever function connects to the supplied outdoor sensor for enhanced efficiency and improved occupant comfort. Another feature is the inclusion of a thermostatic room unit, which provides optimum comfort control, as well as time and temperature scheduling.

Gavin Watson, Sales Director at Elco, said: “We’re developing our boiler range significantly in 2016, with the Thision S Plus being the first to hit the market. The technology packed into this boiler is superb, making it an excellent option for large domestic and light commercial projects. Plus, features such as the built-in weather compensation and room thermostat make this a seriously competitive package.”
