On Cruikshank Street in Finsbury, London, the Grade II Listed Bevin Court council housing block was built on the site of the bomb-destroyed Holford Square in 1954.
Featuring 112 dwellings across seven floors, its 60 year old concrete exterior required a new protective coating to repair and prevent aesthetic and structural damage.
As the neighbouring Holford House was also showing signs of a damaged façade, Sika was appointed to supply a comprehensive and high performance repair system. To protect the building and extend its life, the specification included the anti-carbonation coating SikaGard-550W and the translucent weather-resistant SikaGard-680S Clearglaze.
