Forbo Flooring Systems has launched its new hybrid vinyl collection, Novitex, in order to provide an affordable felt-backed flooring solution, designed predominantly for new build or refurbishment homes.
The range consists of 25 designs, with 17dB impact sound reduction and is dimensionally stable when loose laid (up to 15m2).
The new Novitex collection includes a selection of the most popular designs from Forbo’s cushioned vinyl ranges Novilon Viva, Viva Fusion and Futura, and is ideal for projects that need to be turned around quickly, as it is more tolerant of slight subfloor imperfections.
Jason Pethard, Regional Sales Manager at Forbo Flooring Systems said: “Novitex has been created to complete our cushioned vinyl range, as our first felt-backed offering which meets the growing market demand for this type of flooring.
"With housebuilders under pressure to complete builds in a timely manor, Novitex offers the perfect time saving solution as the flexible textile backing makes it quick and easy to install. In addition, it is available in 2m and 4m widths, allowing for seam free installations in larger areas such as family living rooms and kitchens.
“The collection offers a wealth of on-trend designs including highly realistic woods, classic and modern tiles and all-over colour options, whilst still delivering Novilon’s renowned cleanability, durability and wearability, as you would expect with a Forbo vinyl.
"The textile backing also delivers improved indentation resistance - ideal for areas where furniture may be moved about on a regular basis.”
Novitex delivers R10 slip resistance underfoot thanks to Forbo’s unique Aquagrip surface finish. Alongside this, the Diamond Seal and Noviclean technology ensures Novitex provides superior resistance against spillages and scuff marks, while remaining easy-to-clean and maintain.
What’s more, the flooring is designed for life and promises to keep its appearance with a 10-year guarantee for commercial applications.
