CCF, a leading insulation and interior building products distributor, has partnered with top manufacturer DuPont Tyvek to offer building contractors, housebuilders and developers a complete range of product solutions for air tightness and moisture management requirements.
The partnership with Tyvek means that customers now benefit from having access to nine air tightness products through CCF - including the innovative Tyvek UV Façade, the next generation in lightweight advanced moisture management for rainscreen cladding.
Other Tyvek products now available from CCF include internal wall application products AirGuard Reflective and AirGuard Control. This is in addition to external wall application Tyvek Housewrap, roof application Tyvek Supro, and high performance Tyvek FlexWrap tape. A further three lap seal products include Tyvek Acrylic Tape, UV Façade Tape and Butyl Tape.
To date, the range has been strategically stocked covering the breadth of CCF’s network geographically, allowing customers to order products for swift and flexible delivery from any CCF branch location in the UK.
Janeeth Devgun, CCF Category Manager for External Envelope and Flooring, commented: “This is the first time CCF has introduced a complete product category of air tightness solutions, so it was important to get it right first time. This meant working with the market leader in air tightness, DuPont Tyvek, so we could assure building contractors, housebuilders and developers of quality products that are expertly tested to meet Building Regulations.”
According to Nick Williams, Airtightness Technical Manager, DuPont Tyvek: “When it comes to air tightness, Tyvek offers a holistic approach: a system where each product - membranes, tapes and other accessories - work together to provide the best air tightness protection for buildings while also protecting against condensation and wind or moisture damage. Working closely with CCF means that customers are able to find innovative, industry-recognised products under one roof.”
Through their other partners, CCF are also able to offer air tightness testing to customers for projects and provide guidance on the next steps to improve energy efficiency. The testing solutions can also be extended to a full consultancy service if required, ensuring that CCF can provide solutions alongside national coverage of air tightness products.
