Nextgen – the largest and most established event for energy generation with a major focus on rural renewables and new for 2013 also including urban technologies – has launched a community-based portal for the low-carbon energy sector, in partnership with the award-winning ClickGreen editorial team. The Nextgen community portal www.nextgenmedia.co.uk, comes ahead of the Nextgen conference and exhibition which takes place on the 9 - 10 October at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire.
Nextgen and ClickGreen have created a unique partnership that will focus on delivering the most relevant, accurate and compelling content to support and inform the UK's emerging energy generation industry. ClickGreen's experienced network of contributors and writers will provide Nextgen's new platform with the latest news and views, insightful comment and analysis. The portal will host current articles and studies, with an initial focus on bio-energy; and in addition, industry professionals can gain insight into career appointments, vacancies and regulatory developments.
Following five-months of development work, the new portal is now live and plans for the future include an interactive case study guide that will provide practical energy technology and exclusive finance and tendering briefings. The site will help Nextgen clients and visitors stay informed with the very latest news and content that is shaping the industry between the annual, Nextgen two-day event.
Chris Down, Event Director of Nextgen commented: “This is a highly beneficial partnership for the renewables sector. It provides a focal point for the industry creating an all year round community that combines the live Nextgen event and an online portal. Proactive communities are very powerful. Through them, views are shared, common problems discussed and resolved through collective experience, and business partnerships created. We are delighted to be working with such an experienced web and editorial team.”
Anna Wright, Editorial Director of ClickGreen, said, “This is a unique partnership for us and will be a fantastic opportunity to combine the advantages of such a strong event with a quality rolling content service. Our editorial team is made up of highly experienced, former Fleet Street journalists and we are delighted to be working with Nextgen to champion and support this wonderful sector of the energy industry.”
As part of the agreement, ClickGreen will be producing the popular GreenWeek digital magazine on behalf of Nextgen and will support the annual event with content through its existing and extensive distribution channels.
