GE Lighting revolutionary LED tube

GE Lighting has launched the GE LED T8 range of LED tubes as a straightforward solution for retailers and commercial building owners looking to upgrade their lighting systems.

Designed for easy retrofitting into standard T8 fluorescent luminaires with electromagnetic ballasts, the LED tubes offer up to 60 per cent energy savings and a quick return on investment.

The GE LED T8 tube range is an eco-friendly lighting technology that provides an easy and practical way for retailers to integrate into the LED sphere. Designed with performance and reliability in mind, the new range boasts efficiency and durability figures that far outstrip its fluorescent predecessors.

Without the expense of having to change luminaires altogether, the GE LED T8 range achieves up to 111 lm/W with a maximum output of 3000 lm. With a rated life of 40,000 to 50,000 hours, the new range provides not only rapid return on investment but an affordable solution for retailers looking to reduce their carbon footprint as well.

Containing no mercury and producing no UV emissions, the GE LED T8 tubes are perfect for use in sensitive environments such as restaurants, food processing locations and hospitality facilities, as well as standard applications where LFL T8 lamps are used.

Capable of operating in broad ambient temperature ranges, the GE LED T8 tubes have a narrower and more targeted beam angle to reduce light loss. They also benefit from zero flicker and stroboscopic effect making them ‘kind’ on the eyes.

Csaba Kuhne, Product General Manager at GE Lighting, commented: “With the new range, transitioning to LED does not have to be expensive. We are thrilled that we can now offer the savings that LED lighting brings to retailers and commercial building owners without them having to change their entire lighting system.

“We’ve put the new range through comprehensive testing and are confident it will provide outstanding efficacy and durability for the end user.”

GE Lighting is constantly working to offer competitive, efficient and innovative solutions in all environments where light can make a difference.
