A leading manufacturer of door and wall protection has helped a local school to retain its good looks and reduce its maintenance costs.
Doncaster based Intastop Ltd has provided Bawtry Mayflower School in South Yorkshire with ‘softer to touch’ heavy duty corner guards to protect both pupils and the fabric of the building from damage.
The soft PVC shield has been designed to offer durable protection to exposed corners and thereby minimise damage which can necessitate expensive and frequent repairs. This is all made possible by a unique manufacturing process that ensures the anti-bacterial additive penetrates the entire product rather than just the outer layer, to leave a tough, long lasting finish. But as tough as it is, the corner guard is softer to touch when compared to the harshness of exposed plaster or wooden corners, which is especially reassuring to know in areas where small or vulnerable people come into contact with it.
"We are well respected in the healthcare sector for our products which can protect the fabric of buildings in areas of high traffic, aid infection control and support an effective cleaning and maintenance programme," said Sarah Barsby Marketing Director Intastop Ltd. "Maintenance and estate managers in the education sector are also realising the practical benefits of such installations and also the cost savings and efficiencies in building maintenance that door and wall protection provides.”
The protective corner guards can be utilised as a standalone product or can be combined with other door and wall protection. This means that they are perfect for a school environment. A combination of these products can provide schools with a complete protection package which will undoubtedly appeal to caretakers and maintenance managers due to its robustness and ability to reduce on-going maintenance requirements and associated costs.
"The corner protection from Intastop has provided both an aesthetically pleasing and infinitely practical solution to the on-going maintenance of the school," said David Palmer, Maintenance Supervisor Bawtry Mayflower School. "Due to the range of colours, we have been able to co-ordinate the protection with our existing decor and we are delighted with both the visual finish and the practicalities that it will offer us. It was easy to install and will ensure that our school remains safe, clean and well maintained for our pupils, staff and visitors."
The corner guides are available in a wide variety of lengths and colours, and installation is quick and easy by using contact adhesive or screw fixings supplied by Intastop. Other similar protection products, suitable for a variety of applications, include self-adhesive corner guards, clear corner guards and ones that are particularly suited to establishments where internal traffic is used.
Intastop remains a market leader in the healthcare and public sectors for door and wall protection due its knowledge, expertise and ability to develop products that fulfil customer requirements.
