The Hyde Group has completed its Pelham Towers development in Gravesend, Kent, providing 14 flats at an affordable rent for local residents.
The large, former family home, located in Gravesend’s historic quarter, has been refurbished, modernised and extended by the Hyde Group, retaining many of the building’s original gothic and renaissance features.
Hyde worked in partnership with Benning Brothers, a local builders based in Kent, to redevelop the property using locally produced red brick, common to many buildings in the area.
Mike Johnson, the Hyde Group’s Development Director (London and Kent) said: “Working with Gravesend Borough Council, we are pleased that we could keep many of the building’s striking gothic and renaissance features, whilst providing much needed affordable housing for local people.”
