British Gypsum searches for UK's top installers

British Gypsum is calling on plasterers and dryliners from across the UK to submit their best work for the company’s new Smoothie of the Month competition.

Following on from the success of its #BGShoutOut competition which encouraged plastering apprentices to share the work they are doing, British Gypsum has launched The Smoothies to showcase the skills and successes of all installers across the industry. Each month, one winner will receive a branded hoody and will be entered into an annual award scheme where British Gypsum’s Smoothie of the Year will be chosen.

Dave Hall, Technical Academy Manager at British Gypsum, commented: “We’ve seen first-hand the great work that industry professionals are doing on a daily basis through site visits and conversations across social media. We want to share this work and achievement even further, giving the UK’s dedicated workforce the attention it deserves.”

To enter, British Gypsum is asking plasterers to submit before and after images and videos of their work on Twitter, Instagram or Vine with the hashtag #BGSmoothie, or through the British Gypsum or The Plasterers Forum websites. This could be plastering or dry-lining for walls or ceilings, in new build or refurbishment projects.

Each month, one winner will be picked based on their quality of work, the variety of materials and techniques used, and innovative use of products.
