VIVIX by Formica Group exterior façade panels have been used to clad the new facility at Etone College in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. Baily Garner LLP specified VIVIX in Hunter Green to add a vibrant colour to the building, offering a fresh, welcoming environment.
The two-storey block houses 10 classrooms, a library, additional teaching facilities as well as a fully equipped sports centre.
VIVIX in Hunter Green was specified for the building detailing, including the wings, fascias and soffits, creating a striking contrast with the rest of the building that is rendered in white. High traffic educational buildings such as the Etone College demand not only functionality and practicality, but also a wide variety of design options to create the right look. VIVIX panels are an ideal solution as they offer resistance to impact and abrasion and match the original planning colour envisaged by Baily Garner LLP.
VIVIX panels offer opportunities to play with colour and shape and to create bespoke looks in a creative and cost efficient way, and as part of a lightweight ventilated façade system they contribute to a building’s thermal efficiency and its protection. VIVIX in Hunter Green brings a contemporary look to the Etone College building while allowing for a harmonious blend with the surrounding area.
In the educational sector, VIVIX can be used to add a visual impact. The building can be clad in the school’s colours, transforming the exterior into a vibrant and contemporary one. Furthermore, with Younique by Formica Group customised service allows architects and designers to replicate any pattern or image onto the panels, improving the overall appearance, creating a stimulating and welcoming learning environment.
VIVIX panels incorporate Formica Group’s commitment to sustainable principles and practices. Manufactured in Europe to ISO 9001 standards, the laminate delivers minimal environmental impact as determined by Formica Group’s product Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). All of Formica Group’s European manufacturing sites and distribution centres have achieved the internationally-recognised Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Chain of Custody (COC) certification from leading accreditation body, BM TRADA. This ensures that materials used in the production of Formica High Pressure Laminate (HPL) and wood-based bonded items are from sustainably managed sources.
Formica Group, the inventor of laminate, marked 100 years of invention, innovation and design leadership in 2013. Working closely with architects, designers and specifiers, Formica Group is ideally placed to offer innovative new products and decors which respond to market needs and complement current design trends.
