The versatile new Gilgen FD 20 Swing Door Operator from Gilgen Door Systems provides an economical solution for automating a wide range of doors. Easy to install, strong and built to last the FD20 is ideally suited to environments where general accessibility, hygiene, safety and pedestrian
flow is important. Applications include hospitals, health care centres, colleges and schools, retail outlets, transport hubs and leisure facilities. The high quality design incorporates a powerful electro-mechanical drive some 50% stronger than its predecessor meaning doors up to 250kg in weight can be automated. Variations include single or bi-parting doors, emergency exit, fire doors and acoustic doors. The Gilgen FD 20 is even suitable for automating external doors, such as emergency exits, facing wind loads up to 50MPG. The drive system is extremely quiet in operation and the optional sliding rod mechanism provides improved aesthetics compared to other systems on the market. An attractive aluminium drive housing, with illuminated control buttons, also helps provide a smart contemporary finish allowing it to blend in with the interior design of buildings.
