With a focus on delivering flooring solutions that provide significant reductions in downtime, Forbo Flooring Systems has refined and refreshed its Modul’up adhesive free sheet vinyl collection.

With the addition of new designs and colourways that benefit from Forbo’s innovative digital printing capabilities, the range is ideal for healthcare and education refurbishments.

Forbo’s Modul’up adhesive free sheet vinyl is one of the most trusted products of its kind on the market, backed up by years of innovation, with proven performance across thousands of projects and with over one million m2 installed each year.

Available in an acoustic and compact version, Modul’up joins Forbo’s Fast Fit flooring collection of trusted adhesive-free flooring solutions. The absence of adhesive means the install time of Modul’up can be reduced by as much as 50%, allowing twice as many classrooms or hospital wards to be refurbished in the same timeframe.

Floors can be walked-on immediately after installation is complete, ideal for healthcare or education refurbishments where disruption must be kept to a minimum.

It also contributes to sustainability and material circularity, with the flooring able to be easily lifted up and reused or recycled at its end of life.

Forbo’s Sarlon acoustic vinyl is also part of the update, with its advanced acoustic technology ensuring superior impact sound reduction and its robust construction delivering the lowest residual indentation for an acoustic product.

With new design trends emerging on the market, Forbo has streamlined both collections into a more comprehensive and on-trend offering.

Both Modul’up and Sarlon will now be available in 81 colourways, including a series of contemporary woods, materials and concrete aesthetics, with many of these designs created using Forbo’s innovative digital printing capabilities. This ensures a realistic and high-quality finish, with little to no repeated patterns on some colourways, ensuring the product is almost indistinguishable from the real thing.

Donna Hannaway, Head of Marketing UK and Ireland, from Forbo Flooring Systems, commented: “We understand the heavy time constraints our customers and end users can face, especially when it comes to flooring refurbishments, ensuring that the building or interior space isn’t out of action for longer than necessary.

“At the same time, we’re conscious of keeping up with modern design trends, providing the best possible solutions for projects. It is for this reason that we have looked to refine both our Modul’up and Sarlon sheet vinyl collections, with 81 colourways now on offer.

“We’re particularly excited to be launching some of our new wood and material designs, which incorporate intricate and realistic patterns, with little to no pattern repeats, that can help to create some eye-catching interior schemes.

“For example, with this refresh we have new Shaped Wood designs, with an inlaid pattern in different colours, as well as Industrial Parquet, a regular oak design with a playful twist.”

With acoustic versions available for both Sarlon and Modul’up ranges, offering 15 dB and 19 dB impact sound reduction, it is ideal for the busy or noisy interior spaces commonly found within the education or healthcare sectors.

Manufactured in factories running off 100% renewable electricity, both contain 20% recycled content (which is up to a 20% increase compared to the previous collections) and are 100% phthalate free.

Forbo also runs a ‘Back to the Floor’ scheme, allowing installation offcuts to be returned and reused within production.
