Smart Architectural Aluminium displayed an extensive range of new products and systems at this year’s Futurebuild exhibition. With innovative solutions across its three core product areas, visitors saw a wide range of both completely new products and product evolutions across each of the company’s Internal, External and Outdoor Living collections.
At the heart of the stand was the company’s new Signature Door range which was launched at the show. The range brings a completely new collection of entrance and back doors to sit alongside Smart’s established Designer Door range (for which, a new double door option was also unveiled), opening up an even broader audience for these high quality, high security doors.
Two new additions to the Visoglide sliding door range were also on display. Visoglide offers contemporary styling and is the perfect solution either for sliding commercial entrances where large opening apertures are required, or as statement sliding door for residential properties. Visoglide doors combine strength and weather resistance and the range now includes two new products: InVisoglide, a bonded-glazing door, and Thermaglide, a highly energy-efficient.
Featuring a new bonded glazing system, InVisoglide provides enhanced security and extremely slim profiles to create elegant architectural lines. The bonding process also enables all four sides of the outer frame to be concealed in the aperture.
Thermaglide builds on the proven performance of the established Visoglide range to provide architects and developers with a highly energy efficient option, achieving u-values of 1.4W/m²K with a 1.0W/m²K centre pane and 1.16W/m²K with a 0.7W/m²K centre pane. In keeping with the slim lines and elegant aesthetics of the entire Visoglide range, the new Thermaglide door features perimeter sightlines of just 115mm, with the option of a 20mm interlock profile.
Elsewhere on the stand were a new opening vent for Smart’s Aliver roof light and additions to the Alitherm 400 window and door system.
Commenting on the company’s presence at the exhibition, Smart’s Managing Director, Eddie Robinson, said: “We were pleased to have such a prominent display at Futurebuild 2023, and particularly to showcase such a broad range of innovative new products across all our ranges.
“The feedback from visitors to the stand was extremely positive and we look forward to working with our partners, architects, developers and designers over the coming months on some of the projects that we discussed.”
